Playoffs Diary... Day 8

Best Game(s):
1A... Rangers 5, Devils 3
Rangers pulled out a great game at the Garden. Marc Staal's slapshot ended up being the difference with 3+ minutes to go. This game featured many great saves and goals.
1B... Predators 3, Red Wings 2

Best Moment:
Preds score twice in 32 seconds in 1st period... Goals by Hamhuis and Weber set the tone for a raucous (sp?) crowd at the Sommet Center. It was just what the Preds needed to survive in this one.

Three Stars:
1. Dan Ellis, NSH (39 saves... Boy, did he play amazing or what. No highlight reel saves, but there's no way the Predators win game 4 without Ellis in net.)
2. Martin Straka, NYR (1 Goal, 1 Assist... Straka scored a nice goal in the 2nd, then picked up the primary assist on the game-winner.)
3. Marc Staal, NYR (GWG... Staal's goal was huge as the Rangers now hold a 3-1 series lead on their rivals from across the Hudson.)
