Quick Hits

- According to TSN and HockeyBuzz, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be naming Barry Melrose their new head coach, taking over for John Tortorella. This is very interesting. I personally thought he'd go back to LA. I guess Don Cherry is on ESPN for good now!!
- With the news about Melrose, I can see Tortorella going to 1 of 2 places: San Jose or Toronto. I think Toronto wants to get a firey head coach with experience. Torts falls under that category. And I think the Sharks would want him to win a Cup within 3-5 years, like he did with the Lightning. Two outside chances I could see would be Atlanta and Ottawa.
- Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals registered better TV ratings in the city of Detroit than the Pistons game against Boston... which was going on at the same time.
