The Game 7 hero of round two scored 2 huge goals yesterday.
2. Johan Franzen (1 goal, 2 assists)
‘The Mule’ was arguably the best player on the ice yesterday.
3. Chris Osgood (30 saves)
‘Ozzie’ made some big saves when the game was on the line.
Unsung hero of the night:
Niklas Kronwall… He led the Wings in ice-time, had a few blocked shots, and was a +1.
‘RLD Game-Changing Performance’ of the night:
Mikael Samuelsson… 4 minutes after Versteeg tied the game in the 3rd, Samuelsson’s wicked wrister found top shelf to put the Wings up 3-2. That goal swung the momentum right back to Detroit.

Game Thoughts:
The ‘Canes have been dominated in Game 1 of each of the 2 series so far, and that trend may continue. Pittsburgh is going to have a lot of momentum from winning 4 of 5 to knock off the Capitals. I have the Pens pulling this series out in 6 games, and I think they’ll inch one step closer to the finals with a solid win tonight.
Prediction: Penguins 4, Hurricanes 2
