Brian Gionta hasn’t really been the same since his 89-point breakout in 05/06; but he has gotten better over the last 3 years, accumulating 45, 53, and 60 points (respectively) since. He had a decent postseason, but didn’t raise his stock any. The short winger may benefit from a change of scenery and a different system as a return to Jersey looks bleak at best. Two of the front-runners are the Canucks & Sabres. Some dark horses to watch would be Florida, Carolina, and maybe Nashville. As of now, I think he’d fit well in Buffalo.
