Key Subtractions: Greg Zanon, Vernon Fiddler, Scott Nichol, Jed Ortmeyer, Radek Bonk

Nashville was a different team with Sully in the lineup last year. It’s clear that he’s the sparkplug for the Preds.
Breakout player: Ryan Jones
Jones will continue to develop and improve his game in his 2nd year in the league.
Prospect to watch: Colin Wilson
The highly-touted prospect has a chance to crack the Preds’ lineup to open the season.
On the hot seat: Martin Erat
He’s received a lot of criticism from Pred Nation the last year or so. The highest-paid player on the team has to kick his point totals to another notch
.

Fantasy Corner-
Buy: Shea Weber
Sell: David Legwand
Sleeper: Ryan Jones

Bold Prediction: Defenseman Shea Weber will eclipse the 60-point mark for the first time in his career.

Team Overview: Hard work over the last 3 months didn’t quite pay off last spring, as the Predators fell just short of their 5th consecutive playoff appearance. By the looks of it, they could have a tough time making it this year. They re-signed forwards Sullivan and Ward, but lost key guys like Zanon and Fiddler. A healthy season from the team’s top forwards will be necessary. Even if Pekka Rinne avoids a sophomore slump, it’s hard to imagine them getting off that playoff bubble unless they get more help up front.

Current 09/10 Prediction-
5th in Central Division
