7:00 ET… TV: Local Networks
Overall: Bruins (41-23-10) … Flyers (45-19-10)
Last Ten: Bruins (3-4-3) … Flyers (5-1-4)
Away/Home: Bruins (23-10-5) … Flyers (21-10-6)
Season Series: 2-1 Bruins
Players to watch:
BOS- Milan Lucic
‘Looch’ has been good this month, but needs to be a force in front of the net tonight.
PHI- Mike Richards
The Flyers’ captain is due for a big game; is this the night he breaks out?
BOS- Tim Thomas (2010/11 stats: 31-10-8, 2.02 GAA)
PHI- Brian Boucher (2010/11 stats: 17-8-4, 2.41 GAA)
BOS- Marc Savard (concussion, out), Shane Hnidy (shoulder, out)
PHI- Chris Pronger (hand, out), Oskars Bartulis (shoulder, out), Jody Shelley (eye, out), Ian Laperriere (head, out)
Old-time rivals, Boston and Philadelphia, will meet for the fourth and final time tonight. Both teams are on the back half of back-to-backs, so it will be interesting to see how they respond (from different results). The Flyers got off the schnide on Long Island, while the B’s were shutout at home by the Rangers. I think this should be a close game and could be a playoff preview. I’m going with the team on home-ice for this one…
Prediction: Flyers 3, Bruins 2
The rest of tonight’s predictions:
Penguins over Panthers
Senators over Thrashers
Canucks over Blue Jackets
